National Fire Service Behavioral Health Symposium—Chantilly, Virginia
May 25 - May 26

In September 2019, over 400 fire service and behavioral health experts convened for the first-ever National Fire Service Behavioral Health Symposium in Denver, Colorado. The First Responder Center for Excellence (FRCE) is pleased to announce a second Symposium, to be held May 25–26, 2021 in Chantilly, Virginia. This Symposium will once again allow researchers the opportunity to deliver the latest information that science can tell us regarding behavioral health in the fire service as well as disseminate best practices that will enable fire service attendees to transition the known scientific evidence about behavioral health into actionable activity at the department level. The Symposium will expand on several topics from 2019, while focusing on “Boundaries, Resilience and Posttraumatic Growth.” The Fire Service Behavioral Health Symposium, by raising awareness, will help to disseminate usable information that can be implemented at the department level.
